| You are not required to send in a meter reading so a monthly bill can be calculated. Virtually every meter on our system is equipped with automated metering infrastructure (AMI) that provides us with meter readings automatically.
Once a month, typically around the 20th, we download the readings to render a monthly bill. Bills are calculated between the current reading and the previous reading.
Over the course of the next several years, we will be upgrading our system with second generation AMI technology called TS2. TS2 meters offer enhanced features enabling us to get readings as often as two times an hour, allowing us to view usage in almost real time. |
